Selling the home you raised a family in.Buying the one that fits your life now.

I'm Brett Swearingen. I help longtime Oklahoma homeowners right-size with a calm, coordinated plan. Selling and buying at the same time is the hard part. It is also my specialty.

A word from Brett

After decades in one home, the move ahead is bigger than square footage.

Most of the people I work with have lived in their home for twenty, thirty, forty years. Their savings sit in the walls. They need to sell in order to buy. And they are trying to do both at once, often on the same day.

That is the piece that keeps people up at night. It is also the part I have been doing well for a very long time. My job is to take that weight off you, in a pace that feels human.

Why families call me

Two careers, one conversation.

Right-sizing touches real estate, money, and life all at once. I can speak to all three at your kitchen table.

01

Realtor since the late 1980s

Nearly four decades of Oklahoma transactions. I have seen the market in every season, and I know how homes in these neighborhoods actually sell.

02

Twenty-five years on the money side

I spent more than twenty-five years as a residential mortgage lender. I can explain the financing side in plain language so you understand every number, without any guessing.

03

Seniors Real Estate Specialist

The SRES designation is training built for this exact life stage. I bring a coordinated team so one decision brings the whole plan.

My lending background is fluency, not a lending service. I explain the money side. You choose your lender.

How this actually works

A plan that respects your timeline, your home, and your marriage.

No forced pace. No stranger doing damage in your living room. We move at a rhythm that lets you sleep.

Bright, comfortable single-level Oklahoma home interior with warm wood tones

Step one

We sit down and talk first.

Not about square footage. About what your home has been for. Entertaining, family, peace, security. That conversation shapes everything after.

Step two

We prepare your home on your terms.

Showings scheduled around your comfort. No repairs, no paint, no updates without your yes. Ever.

Step three

We find your right-sized forever home.

Space planning shows you exactly what fits before you sign anything. The 'our stuff won't fit' fear stops being a fear.

Step four

We coordinate the whole team.

Tax strategy, estate planning, downsizing space planner, estate sale, movers. One decision brings the whole plan.

Get clarity on my next step

Your timeline, your pace. Nothing to commit to.

The concerns I hear most

You are not the first person to feel this way.

These are the exact words clients have said to me, and how we actually work through them.

We are trying to accommodate my spouse's wants and needs, which are different than mine.
I sit with both of you. We separate what is a hard yes, a soft yes, and a walk-away for each of you. A shortlist comes out of that, not out of a search filter.
I do not want people walking through my home.
Showings run on your comfort. Set hours, appointment only, gaps between visits. Some clients never allow an open house. That is fully your call.
I do not want to do any repairs or updating.
You do not have to. We price to your condition and target the right kind of buyer. No paint, no fixes, no projects unless you want them.
I do not think I can buy smaller and fit all our stuff, even though I don't use the rooms or stuff anymore.
A space planner on my team maps your furniture into the new floor plan before you commit. What stays, what goes, and where an estate sale can turn what leaves into money.

About Brett

I do not sell homes. I help families make the biggest decision of their life feel doable.

I have been a Realtor since the late 1980s, right here in Oklahoma. Before that, and alongside it for more than twenty-five years, I was a residential mortgage lender. That means I can translate the money side into plain language while we talk about the house.

My positioning is simple. I help clients reach their goals without stress, so they can sleep. Everything else follows from that.

In their own words

Families I have had the honor to serve.

Brett was extremely versed in regulations, compliance, and protocol, and worked tirelessly at our virtual side every step of the way. Living in Colorado with a two hour time difference, he never failed expedient communication, even at late hours. His real time awareness of a volatile market saved us considerable money on closing costs and on the contract itself.
